Microsoft plans to announce "what's next" during an event on 22 September. Simply called the Microsoft Fall 2021 Event, there's no clue in the title what we might be seeing.
With Windows 11 due to launch on 5 October, the event seems like a good opportunity to announce new hardware to showcase the new software.

How to watch Microsoft's Windows 11 event
The event will be available to stream from Microsft's website. It may also be available on its YouTube channel but we're yet to hear about that. Pocket-lint hopes to host the video above.
What to expect from Microsoft's event
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and chief product officer Panos Panay will likely be the speakers at the Windows event.

Microsoft's plans aren't exactly clear, with some speculation that we're going to see a redesign of the Surface Book, perhaps dropping the name completely. That might see a redesign of the Surface laptop, with some rumours that there will be a more flexible design, allowing greater freedom to adjust the display - a little like Apple's Magic Keyboard.
We might also see a follow-up to the Surface Duo, Microsoft's folding device.Â
Pocket-lint will cover Microsoft's Windows event, so stay tuned to our Microsoft hub for all the latest announcements.
