Oppo will announce its Find X5 series on 24 February, with three models expected, including the Find X5 Lite, Find X5 and Find X5 Pro.
While the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro are rumoured to share similarities, including a unique camera bump, the Find X5 Lite is expected to be different in terms of design. There are also expected to be differences in terms of specifications.Â
Here is how the Oppo Find X5 series is rumoured to compare, based on the speculation.
Design
- X5 Lite: Regular camera housing
- X5: Angled camera housing, glass and stainless steel
- X5 Pro: Angled camera housing, glass and stainless steel
The Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro are both set to have a glass rear with the same camera housing in the top left corner. Rather than a standard square or rectangular camera housing, the Find X5 and X5 Pro both appear to have an angled bottom, differentiating them from the norm.Â
The two devices are also expected to sport Hasselblad branding, and they are expected to have a curved display with a hole-punch camera in the top left.Â
The Find X5 Lite meanwhile, is still expected to come with a punch hole camera in the top left corner, though the display is expected to be flat. It is also rumoured to be coming with a more standard rectangle camera housing.
Display
- X5 Lite: 6.43-inch, Full HD+, 8-bit colour, 90Hz
- X5: 6.55-inch, Full HD+, 10-bit colour, 120Hz
- X5 Pro: 6.7-inch, Quad HD+, 10-bit colour, 120Hz
The Oppo Find X5 Lite is rumoured to come with a 6.43-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution. It's expected to offer a 90Hz refresh rate, 8-bit colour and no support for HDR.
The Find X5 is said to have a 6.55-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution, though it's expected to up the refresh rate to 120Hz. It's also expected to offer 10-bit colour and support for HDR.
The top of the range Oppo Find X5 Pro is said to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO display with a Quad HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, 10-bit colour and support for HDR.

- X5: Qualcomm SD888, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage, 4800mAh battery, 85W charging

 The Oppo Find X5 Lite is reported to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset supported by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It's rumoured to come with a 4500mAh battery and support 65W fast charging.Â
The Oppo Find X5 is said to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC whilst also offering 8GB of RAM support and 256GB of storage. It is thought it will offer a slightly bigger battery to the Lite model though at 4800mAh and it's also expected to support faster charging, at 85W.
The Find X5 Pro is rumoured to be running on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is claimed to be coming with a 5000mAh battery, which like the X5, is said to support 85W fast charging.
Cameras
- X5 Lite: Triple rear (64MP main, 8MP ultra wide, 2MP macro), 32MP front
- X5/X5 Pro: Triple rear (50MP main, 50MP ultra wide, 13MP telephoto), 32MP front
In terms of cameras, the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro are both rumoured to come with the same camera setup. It's said they will both offer a triple rear camera comprised of a 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultra wide camera and a 13-megapixel telephoto camera.Â
It's also expected that the Find X5 and Find X5 Pro will both come with a Hasselblad partnership, which will likely be used for colour tuning, while Oppo's new MariSilicon neural image processing unit is expected to be used for AI image processing.
The Oppo Find X5 Lite meanwhile, Â is said to have a triple rear camera made up of a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro.Â
All three models are rumoured to have a 32-megapixel front camera.
Conclusion
Based on the rumours, the Oppo Find X5 and Find X5 Pro will be similar both in terms of design and specifications. It seems as though the Find X5 Pro will offer a slightly larger battery, more RAM and a newer processor, as well as a larger and higher resolution display.
It's expected that the Find X5 will have the same camera capabilities as the X5 Pro though, as well as the unique camera housing and the super speedy charging capabilities.Â
The Oppo Find X5 Lite meanwhile, appears to be coming with a more standard design and and a reduction in specifications, including processor and camera, falling closer in line with the OnePlus Nord CE 2. This is just speculation for now though so we will update this feature when the official details are in.
